Sprint Search is the quick and easy way to query the New Year Sprint database that contains the draws and results of heats, cross ties and finals of every New Year Sprint since, and including, 1990.

Search results yield the name, initial, town/club, start and performance in every round of each runner that matches the search criteria.

Searches can be by name, initial, town/club, start, range of starts or any combination of those fields. Select the year(s) of the meeting(s) to be searched.

After a search, click on a heat number, cross tie number or final placing to see the line up and results of that race.

Search tips
• Any number of fields can be left empty but at least one year must be selected.
• An empty field matches everything, e.g. an empty "Last Name" field will match all last names.
• A field with a value followed by a "*" matches everything that starts with that value, e.g. a value of "E*" for "Town" matches "Edinburgh" and "Elswick". Note "*" is not valid in the "Start" field.
• The "Start" field can contain a single value, a range of values or a semi-specified range (or no value, of course), e.g. 5m, 5m-10m, -5m (up to 5m) or 15m- (over 15m). The units (m or yds) are optional.
