Lexus boost for New Year Sprint

The New Year Sprint received an early Christmas present with the news that Lexus are to sponsor the world-renowned foot-racing event.

The Japanese quality car manufacturer have agreed a deal with main supporter Musselburgh Racecourse which will benefit the New Year Sprint meeting over the next few years.

The prize money fund for the 2007 meeting should be restored to the 2004 levels with the New Year Sprint winner taking home a cheque for £6000. More importantly, the support of Lexus should help safeguard the continuity of this unique event.
